DE Shaw group is hiring Senior Analyst/Manager – Expense Reporting
Location- Hyderabad, Bengaluru or Gurugram
In this role, you will partner with the COO and CFO’s office, business unit heads, and portfolio managers to deliver analytical reports, expense and profitability models, and commentary on firm-wide, business unit, and fund-level expenses. Core responsibilities include budgeting, forecasting, scenario analysis, and ad-hoc support for groups such as Investor Relations, Corporate Development, and Legal & Compliance.
You will own change initiatives impacting expense reporting — engaging stakeholders across the firm, including the COO office, to assess implications and define the path forward. As the team’s project manager on cross-functional efforts, you will coordinate with stakeholders, manage timelines, and ensure changes are accurately reflected across reporting infrastructure and processes, frequently leading projects end-to-end from scoping through delivery. You will also oversee month-end activities, including expense allocation reviews, reporting deliverables, and financial analytics for external stakeholders.
This includes serving as the primary point of contact for month-end queries, reviewing team output, and guiding junior team members. On the technology side, you will lead projects to build reporting and analytics tools, streamline workflows, and improve user experience — defining requirements, coordinating with tech teams, and driving delivery. Throughout, you will build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, translate complex financial data into clear and actionable insights, and engage confidently across all levels of the firm.
