Position- FP&A Control Analyst
Location- Mumbai
Job Description:
JD & skills required is below:
- Quarterly close process: Deliver the quarterly close process including quarterly bp financials for the Technology entity, including accruals, prepayments, intercompany charge-ins, spend review and various commentaries.
- Support the controller in application of appropriate accounting policies in complex and ambigious accounting matters. Support the controller in delivering financial reporting requirements for Group reporting including timeliness of data submissions, validation checks and ‘Additional and Supplementary’ data.
- Review and finalise the WBS and Cost coding creation in relation to the recharges required. Maintenance of cost code structure.
- Manage the asset process, including regular asset under construction reviews with the Technology business regarding multi year in-house capital development projects.
- Due diligence: Support the FP&A controller in quarterly due diligence, Financial Memorandum governance process for the P&O Technology function, ensuring all relevant requirements are met. Provide assurance around the operation of internal controls working through FP&A and other process towers. Support the team in assuring the accuracy and completeness of the actuals process.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain positive relationships with teams to enable early identification of issues and reinforce first-line control requirements. Support internal/external Audits with queries relevant to the entity. The role requires strong communication skills as regular contact with Technology collaborators is expected.
- Statutory & compliance reporting: Support the FP&A Controller on the Statutory Accountings process for the technology function. Validate changes in the Delegation of Authority and related changes in the system under supervision of the controller.
- Financial analysis: Provide variance analysis on actuals reporting in line with group financial reporting. Instructions and QAR quarterly analytical requirements. Use of Power BI dashboards and macros in dashboard reporting is a plus.
- Ensure recharges and allocation and assurance of the recharge models as per Transfer pricing policies for the procurement function in Technology.
Shift Timings : 11.30am to 8.30pm
Qualification & Skills required:
- Must have educational qualifications: Business/Finance Degree level or equivalent
- Preferred education/certifications: Master’s Degree. ACCA / ACA / CIMA or equivalent accounting qualification
- Minimum years of relevant experience: 3-4 years of relevant post degree experience, working across multiple segments and with experience of financial reporting
- Preferred experience: Experience within global, complex and matrix organizations, preferably within an Oil & Gas business.
- Strong accounting knowledge with a solid foundation in financial principles and controls
- Inquisitive approach with a drive to understand underlying details and root causes
- Able to work independently, take ownership, and deliver results with minimal direct supervision
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage collaborators clearly and professionally
- Able to perform effectively under time pressure, delivering accurate and timely data, analysis, and insights to meet business deadlines.
Must have experiences/skills:
- Process experience across Accounting, Reporting and Control with good understanding of Planning, Performance and Commercial processes
- Deep understanding of the principles of continuous improvement and process perfection
- Experience in working with financial systems such as SAP, Microsoft products and visualization tools such as Power BI
- Excellent teammate with ability to communicate optimally and work together with business collaborators
