About the Role: Being an Manager – Finance entails overseeing financial operations within the company. This pivotal role involves day-to-day accounting mainly involving Payables, Receivables, Payroll, Taxation, General Ledger and Fixed Assets while contributing directly to the company’s growth and success.
Key responsibilities:
Direct & Indirect Tax Compliance
● Preparation and filing of monthly, quarterly, and annual GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, GSTR-9C).
● Handling of GST reconciliations (books vs GSTR 2A/2B/1).
● Preparation and submission of TDS returns (24Q, 26Q), issuance of Form 16/16A.
● Handling of income tax assessments, tax computations, and payment of advance taxes.
● Liaison with tax consultants and preparation of necessary schedules and documents for tax audits and filings.
● Monitoring changes in tax laws and ensuring timely implementation of amendments.
Month-End & Year-End Book Closure
● Ensure timely monthly closure of books in compliance with applicable accounting standards (Ind AS preferred).
● Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and provisions.
● Perform general ledger scrutiny and reconciliations.
● Coordinate with internal teams for accurate accounting and reporting.
Preparation of Financial Statements
● Assist in preparation of standalone and consolidated financials as per Ind AS/Companies Act, 2013.
● Drafting of notes to accounts and supporting audit schedules.
● Coordinate with statutory auditors, internal auditors, and tax consultants.
Budgeting & Forecasting
● Support in preparation of annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and variance analysis.
● Track actual vs. budgeted expenses and revenue; provide timely insights to management.
● Support financial planning activities and help identify areas for cost optimization.
Regulatory Compliance & Reporting
● Ensure compliance with statutory requirements under the Companies Act, FEMA, and other applicable regulations.
● Preparation of data for ROC filings (AOC-4, MGT-7, etc.) in coordination with the Company Secretary.
● Support RBI compliance (FLA, FC-GPR, etc.) where applicable.
Preferred qualifications:
● Chartered Accountant with 2+ years of experience with strong CA article-ship experience in Taxation
● Knowledge of Income Tax, GST laws, and Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS).
● Excellent MS Excel skills and working knowledge of accounting software (Zoho/QuickBooks/Tally/).
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
● High attention to detail with a sense of ownership.
● Good verbal and written communication skills.
● Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks under tight timelines.
