What you’ll be doing

What will your essential responsibilities include?

Reporting team provides accounting and reporting support to various AXA XL legal entities based out of Bermuda, UK, Switzerland and US. The key activities of the team involve analysis of Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss including ratio analysis, preparation of balance sheet reconciliations along with commentaries, booking of manual adjustments to incorporate new treaties, booking of manual adjustment to incorporate entity level changes in GL, preparation of internal ceding treaties reconciliations for US and Europe geography, booking of manual adjustments to correct ceding percentage changes, booking of post close cash adjustment journals, etc.

  • Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations such as Receivable/Payable, Losses, Unearned premium and deferred acquisition cost.
  • Prepare Statutory financials statement and Board pack on quarterly basis along with analysis thereof and commentary.
  • Responsible for regulatory reporting to Regulator for insurance entity on annual basis.
  • Booking of manual adjustment based on monthly operating bank accounts along with quarterly accruals.
  • Booking of statutory manual adjustments at legal entity level to produce quarterly result on Swiss GAAP basis.
  • Review of receivable / payable balances for ageing analysis.
  • Review of receivable / payable balances for ageing analysis.
  • Handling of ad-hoc queries related to the process on a regular basis.
  • Preparation of various quarterly controls.
  • Assist in quarterly close & reporting process and adhere to time schedules.

You will report to Senior Manager, Chief Accounting and Capital Office.

What you’ll bring

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • CA with relevant post-qualification experience in accounting and financial reporting.
  • Robust communication & interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal/external teams across the globe.

Desired Skills and Abilities:

  • Intermediate IT skills (MS Excel, MS Access, Word).
  • Robust analytical and problem solving skills.

Organized, methodical, able to deal effectively with multiple priorities and do multitasking.
